Hi Folks! Here is an update of how things are proceeding, received from the gracious company president, Rick Boulay: ========================================================== Jesse: Thanks for your recent questions about progress on the Chinchaga diamond project and last week's news release. However, with a drill program in progress I am restricted in what I can say and must use news releases for substantive information disclosure. What I can comment on are scheduling matters. We have experienced startup delays as a result of the unseasonably warm winter weather which has actually resulted in partial road restrictions in some parts of northern Alberta. Happily the weather has cooled down and this problem no longer exists. While it lasted there were problems moving heavy water trucks and big equipment items. There was another problem which was further complicated by the warm weather. Our philosophy of equipping for both HQ and the smaller NQ core so we could telescope down to a smaller size in case of downhole problems caused an additional 36 hour delay, due to the fact that all of the equipment could not be assembled on site before drilling started. Then, once started, we had to wait for the complete NQ assembly to arrive for reasons relating to our sub-contractor arrangements. This caused a delay of about 36 hours after our drilling start on Friday. We are running well behind schedule now but expect to be on track shortly. Fortunately, due to colder weather which will likely persist for awhile, we are in a position of no longer having to worry about deteriorating access roads. Our senior consulting geologist arrives on site late tonight and replaces the start-up team. Relative to how the core will be handled, that's up to the project manager. We have hired the best and we don't interfere. They will be handling all of the core and, at their discretion, will be sending suitable intervals directly to the laboratory for analysis. I expect they will use Saskatchewan Research Council, but its their call. If they require a quick diagnostic on a core sample, its logical that they would courier a small piece to a thin section specialist who is on standby in order to get a petrographic analysis within 36 hours. As to our news release policy..... upon receipt of a report from the project manager we will immediately relay the information to our joint venture partner and promptly issue a joint news release. If you use any of this material please make sure that it is directly attributed to me. Regards, Rick Boulay ========================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------- This brings us up to date, and corrects a couple guesses I made earlier (to Wilse)! Esta bien. With the unexpectancies in place <grin>, things are well on their way! Must run for now gang, -j :> MMU new Project website: mmu.simplenet.com
