WAAYYY off topic:

Finally decided to take the leap and look at one of those small NASDAQ companies that always seem to get touted on unrelated Yahoo bulletin boards. This one is Intermost -- trades on the BB as IMOT. Just for laughs, check out this release:

biz.yahoo.com

This is what scares me the most about the "internet bubble" the markets are experiencing. Let's see, what troubles me most about this release:

1) company based in Florida (not all FL companies are bad, but it is the #1 hotbed for securities fraud in the US, due to the difficulty in seizing personal property in bankruptcy cases;

2) calling itself "AN INTERNET PHENOMENA - PROFITABLE AFTER ONLY ITS SECOND QUARTER!" Exclamation points generally shouldn't appear in corporate press. By the way, congratulations on your whopping $4 thousand dollar profit...

3) Second paragraph starts off with a typo.

4) Not a shred of useful financial information in the piece.

5) Having the balls to mention Amazon in the release to have this podunk company come out on AMZN's news ticker as "news." Pretty funny to see the "related quotes" box on the right quoting Amazon along with Intermost (Interleast?)

6) Three offices in China -- Great! Good luck when the government seizes your assets.

***

Anyway -- sorry for the off-topic post, but stuff like this is kind of humorous (and sad for those folks who may buy in).
