This comment I read on FGN online about the Playstation2 release, makes the GameFX acquisition seem more valuable.

>>Many executives of game software companies sat grim
faced through Sony's presentation as, according to
Nihon Keizai Shimbun, the machine's improved
graphic handling capabilities are certain to create a
big divide in the game software industry. "No more
than five software companies can develop games
that take full advantage of the PlayStation 2's
capabilities," stated Tomoyuki Takechi, chief of
Square. Takechi predicts PlayStation 2's release will
draw a clear line between software makers who
have computer graphics prowess and those who
don't.<<

Good. Another "mass market" title. The good thing about these is the steady state sales cycle. i don't think the usual 1 quarter or 1 1/2 quarter phenomena will apply. Therefore, it should be easier to make money on small builds and also avoid sell-through issues.

Who is Mirage? Is there anything else there that THQ is working on?

Now how about wome Deer Hunter type respect!
