I agree -- very bizarre that Intuit is suing itself, here.

Anyway, IMHO, this is strong validation of CF's momentum with Quicken.com and the portals.

I've gotta believe that they'll figure out some amicable settlement, and find it VERY tough to believe that Pete would have somehow locked CF out of the Portal business by doling an exclusive out to Intuit.

Without speculating too much (don't know anything about the agreement in question), the courts tend to favor consumers and unfettered, unmonopolistic trade practices. This is only gonna underscore the value of EBBP to portals, who are gonna move faster than ever to get their products out the door...

Intuit, IMO, doesn't really care about the 20%. Intuit is like a bank and wants to control CheckFree. Intuit is fearful of CheckFree cutting Intuit out of the picture.
