I thought they have made money this quarter, more cash adds 1.5 billion cash, 300 million shy of CSCO cash position but going at 25 % of CSCO stock price.

Hey Guys,

Deja Vu all over again. This is a hell of a price for the long term.
They need to give up on networking and focus on their Palm Pilot monopoly.

Sorry for anyone suffering. This stock is always a hell of a ride.

Anyone speculate on a bottom here?

They have been here four times in the past year. There is a danger if they break this price support of going to the teens. Buying at 24 is all little guys and selling is all big guys. MLCO, BEST and GSCO all selling.

COMS needs a new CFO first, then we can work on Eric. 3Com does not have a channel management program they keep repeating in the press releases. First screw up was not booking appropriate price protection and returns after the USRX merger and now again channel mgt. issues. Get rid of the CFO, he is pulling you down Eric!

Mr. Paisley and Eric:

Please explain to me how you have "strick channel management" yet you can't tell where your channel inventory levels are in the qtr. just 2 weeks before qtr. end. So what you mean is 3Com won't stuff the channel, ok, that's great you finally realize this after how long? You are NOT managing the channel, or if you think you are you are doing a very poor job of it. Channel management is when you have developed tools that allow you to know what your channel inventory levels are at all times within a reasonable scope. 3Com will never succeed if they cannot correct this problem.
