Can be really bad for CSCO regarding this news. First MCI deployed Juniper, and now Cable & Wireless. Both of them are large players in the networking area. It is possible that many NAPs may deploy Juniper in the future and thus killing the cash cow for CSCO, that is from the once arcane Router mkt segment. Before, nobody wants to be in the Router mkt as the mkt is big enough for CSCO and some small players only. But, with the Internet, many many palyers are coming in. There are more than 10 startups like Juniper. We all know what can happen when there is too much competition, the price drops a lot. Just look at the memory mkt and disk drive mkt. That kind of scenario is starting to happen and now is the time to seriously look at the high-flying stock price of more than 100 PE. Both AT&T and IBM have PE that are much less and much more safer stocks compared to CSCO. CSCO at 100+ PE is overpriced . imo.

Damnit! I want shares in this company. I wish Juniper would go public soon, before they are too successful.
