Platter -- Are you using "real-time" oil prices for your posts?

Sarge -- What the hell is a Mexican stand-off?

Thanks

At the risk of repeating myself, here is what I think will happen, FWIW.

We will have a nice rally/upward bias for the near term. But soon, investors will say "Hey, oil prices are looking firmer/higher, but day rates and utilization still sucks -- I'm selling."

Then a dip.

Then oil prices maintain upward momentum and become "accepted" at higher levels.

Then oil companies start gently increasing (or stop cutting) E&P budgets as they gain coonfidence in higher oil prices. "Hey, maybe this is real!"

Then utilization starts edging higher...and the drillers accelerate their stock price gains.

Very basic, but I wanted Slider to be able to understand :)

Platter -- What is the symbol for the near month crude?

Slider -- How are your E&P companies doing today. I see my fave, Vastar, is up 2 1/2.
