rudedog: I noticed the Pestario name. The information has been evolving. First reports on Friday was that it was EP, which I thought was astonishing. Then, one or possibly two, of the reports said EP and EM. One of the reports said EM. One of the Saturday reports spoke of "executives" and one may have mentioned Pesatori by name. The later WSJ report naming Pesatori.

I think so much depends on the context and tone.

Apart from that, I think that it is good to suppress expectations. Intel does it all the time and so does MSFT. They do it best because they do it at the earnings CC when they celebrate beating expectations but warn analysts that the next quarter will be difficult. If you do it after that time, there is always the danger of overreaction. This is overreaction. The only question for me is whether to make my big doubling up buy around these levels or wait to see if there is a wash out.
