Denver Post

March 3 - Karen Kataline has never been a political activist, but she is organizing a public rally that might
attract thousands of angry people to Downtown Denver this weekend.

And then, she thinks, she will be done with it - just as quickly as it started less than a week ago.

"I have no plans beyond Saturday,'' Kataline says.

But Saturday's 2 p.m. rally could be a whopper, if early indications are a reliable signal.

With only two days to act, and with public notice limited to only a few talk-radio appearances and a
one-inch newspaper ad, nearly 300 protesters attended a preliminary rally that Kataline organized last
Saturday in Civic Center.

"I expected to get only about 25 people, so I was absolutely astounded when we got such a big crowd,''
Kataline said.

Her cause?

"I don't think we should have a rapist living in the White House,'' she says flatly. And then she carefully
annotates her statement by adding, "if, of course, he is guilty of that.''

When she heard news last week that Bill Clinton has been accused of sexually assaulting a campaign
worker during his political career in Arkansas 21 years ago, Kataline's blood boiled. "I truly couldn't stand
it any more'' after more than a year of turmoil over the president's affair with Monica Lewinsky. "This was
just the last straw for me, and I knew that I wasn't alone.''

Appropriately, she has chosen the camel as her mascot at Saturday's rally, since the sexual-assault story
"was the straw that broke the camel's back in terms of my tolerance for that man.''

Last Saturday's event was intended merely to be a small organizing meeting for this Saturday's main event,
but it turned into a public rally of its own when so many people showed up - with virtually no publicity
beforehand. People carried signs saying "Jail to the Chief,'' "Hail to the creep'' and other derogatory
slogans aimed at Clinton.

By passing the hat, Kataline collected more than $1,000 in contributions to help pay for advertising this
weekend's demonstration, and more donations have been offered since then - including a $1,000 check
from one woman.

Kataline is a social worker, actress and sometimes talk-show host who doesn't consider herself a political
animal. "This is a nonpartisan rally, a unified effort to set politics aside with one goal in mind - getting that
man out of the White House. We're extending an outstretched hand to the traditionally left-wing groups to
join in with us. We already have support from some right-wing organizations, but we want to provide a
safe place where liberals can stand up and be heard on this issue too.''

Kataline doesn't see Clinton as a Democrat, but as an abuser of women. "If he were a Republican, I'd be
standing out on the same street corner'' recruiting volunteers for her maneuver in Civic Center.

Anyone who wants to request a draft card for Kataline's one-day war against Clinton can leave a message
for her at 303-763-6796.

The nation's commander-in-chief just might be surprised by the movement on his western flank this
weekend.

Daniel,

If Republicans are somehow involved in Mena, I'll be more than glad to see them locked up. I'm not in this for the politics Daniel.

You seem to think that none of the facts reported in this WSJ journal are incriminating for Clinton, and simple common sense tells me otherwise.

The Blood scandal targeting FDA and Clinton is being brought by Canadian victims. Are we to think that they also are right wing wackos ?

Anyway Daniel, I really don't care about any of what you say anymore. You sound like David Kendall.
