*** Internet by voice under development NEW YORK (AP) - AT&T Corp., Lucent Technologies Inc. and Motorola Inc. announced a pact Tuesday to develop a software language that will let people access the Internet using their voice. The companies hope the tool will be adapted by developers of software that would allow users to get Web information over the phone, reducing the need to use home computers. The voice-recognition software would reside on central Web computers, not on desktops. Possible applications include calling Web sites to easily get information such as weather forecasts and traffic information. See infobeat.com

Does anyone else besides me see this happening again? Jack, realistically, where do you think LU will be just one year from now? Do you think LU will be announcing a split (our second)? My point is that I am still not used to getting caught up in the day to day gyrations of my portfolio, having originally invested in cscc then asnd. Ive never owned anything close to the size of LU. And Im still getting used to a huge company like LU thinking in the click click mindset it takes to be a successful asnd. But McGinn has me sold ,hook line and sinker. He has Chambers PR savvy yet is truly a Mory and Co. visionary of high latitudes. Soooo.... I challenge myself not to look at LU/ASND on a daily basis. I have a sizable investment and plan to dollar cost average the next decade, the forseeable time period of the buildout of this generation of the 'net, and we're talking a TRILLION dollar pie (Chris Stix, SG Cowen). By then I will be unbelievably comfortably retired at the ripe old age of 47 years and will probably be run over by a truck on my new Harley the following year.:o) So Jack, I am now truly an investor. Im showing my age with wisdom. My personal account is still 100% PSIX for those 'wild hair' days. Forget ASND/LU, it is TRULY the pot at the end of the rainbow. Enjoy life, dont get caught up in WS BS! We got it made! LU's clients are the biggest players in the 'net. Enough said. GO ASND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
