I don't see that you can do much about them riding on the street. Of course - on the street basic traffic laws apply in a way they don't in a dirt lot. Using a dirt bike "as intended" on a public road is reckless driving. One warning or citation from your local lawman (he can keep it friendly but informative) oughtta have a bracing effect on the bikers.

So far, the fence has been effective on our end. The evenings are longer now - last year at this time the grounds were occupied. So far, the silence is unbroken and as sweet as honey.

One minor downside to the removal of most of the pine trees is I now hear who up the street has a dog. But that's a small price to pay for the security of the fence.
<edit> Kill two birds with one stone. Relocate your gopher and sour the bike trail. :-)
