Why would Pete sign an iron-clad, non-compete clause with Intuit back then, when he's NOT signing any exclusive portal deals now? Well, that was then. A year ago everything was much different and CF might go for a short term (18 month) exclusive contract. Contract expires 6 month or so from now. I doubt that contract could prohibit R&D jobs for CF. Deal with portals at this stage is an R&D job even when it goes to pilot. BTW, it will cost CF 2c a share in FY99 and bring no money from portals. By the time all preparations with portals are completed, contract with INTU will expire. Having only facts that were mentioned on the thread, I don't understand what all the fuss is all about. Why INTU needed to raise all this crap? May be Brass Rogers can shed some light on it?
