You need to get a better grip on what constitutes "illegal" short selling. Not very much does, actually.

Come to think of it, you need to come to understand what shorting's all about, and how it's done, in the first place.

For example: if a company does an offshore Reg-S placement of stock or other securities, what happens? The stock will be heavily shorted. Is that "illegal"? No. It's "arbitrage".

Is it the kind of thing a Caring CEO exposes his shareholders to? No. But why don't you talk to Mike Sylver about it? Or ask Pugs to do that for you.
