Bev, I too had laser surgery for my eyes. I had the PRK procedure a few years back and I think it was one of the smartest things I ever did. There are a few small downsides and it seems as time goes on, my vision is not as crisp as it was a few months after the procedure. For me, I felt I had to do it because I was having a hard time judging the runway and well, I don't think I would have too many chances to make mistakes there. ;-) PS I am short VISX
