<I was just wondering why you would want to short a stock
<holding up so well in a bad market??
To answer that, I'd have to write a book. However, THAT is in itself
one of the reasons. Every stock has it's own trading profile, and
this one is currently in the news. Lot's of buyers/sellers, good
liquidity, highly emotional.
It doesn't matter if the products are wonderful or terrible since
I'm not trading the fundamental here...I'm only trading the price.
And the price action told me to short it :)
Quite often price follows the emotion..in this case the interview
with emerald was one of the emotional element that pushed the price
up. I suspect if "I" was long, I'd hold till the interview played out
before selling to maximize my gain. Since I had no position, I simply
established my beachhead ahead of the exit door. Hope this makes sense.

<It seems to me there are a bunch of much better shorts out there.>
Sure there are. But This is the one I decided on today :)
It seemed to me to have a wonderful risk/reward ratio.
Good Luck!
