Been a lurker for a while here..but wanted to offer this info FWIW I spoke with an IBM storage sales rep while i was at a corporate training session (i don't work for IBM) said that they are on verge of introing a new group of storage devices that are quicker and substantially less costly than the EMC offering. said the EMC devices have done great because they had effectively a "lock on the market and extremely aggressive sales people" according to this 15 year IBM guy EMC uses IBM drives in much of their solutions... Does anyone have any info on the new IBM solutions...EMC had their product intro and the stock dropped 3 points. Go figure Is this just in sympathy to the whole tech sector? I like EMC and own a few shares but just want to get some feedback from the EMC followers...any thoughts?? regards walt
