DC having problems with city government? Who coulda imagined! <g>

Not exactly the poster child for a well-run municipality on *any* list...I think I'm with JDN in thinking that DC falling into a giant hole in the earth wouldn't be such as bad thing... ;>

Guess I happen to live in a proactive state, county, and township, and it seems my utility companies are ahead of the curve. Sounds like my bank(s) and broker(s) are exceptions. I guess the guys I know at TAVA who aren't the least bit concerned are in the dark about the "real" situation. Hmmmmmmm....

Who knows, I think the kids would enjoy having to "rough it" for a couple weeks...Camping in the living room. Burning the furniture for heat. Routing squirrels from their winter slumber to eat them. Taking pot shots at the neighbors who wander too close to the "no walk zone". Nighttime raids on the Piggly Wiggly for salt and flour. Singing Barney songs from memory since the TV doesn't work anymore. Taking turns playing hide and seek with the night vision goggles. Teaching the kids how to cauterize a wound with the red hot end of a knife. Reapplying grandma's time-proven quilting techniques to make homemade camo gear. What could be better? Just don't be coming after my canned goods... <vbg>

We both know reality is somewhere in between the extremes, but paranoia will only lead to self-fulfilling prophecy.

Rule # 1 ...........

Never fall in love with a stock......
All the energy, time and writing you have exhausted towards this company....and what have you gotten in return.......nothing ........

What does it take to move this stock now....?????
It happened already....... last spring....boat ride is over......time to get off .....
