Glenn -- Not a bad close today. I am still hoping for a rally Friday and into next week. To me the market appears to be waiting for Friday -- some nervousness -- and I hope that there is relief from this sense of impending bad news based on the fear that economic growth is too strong. If the numbers on Friday are a little weaker than expected, I think the market will rally higher. If numbers are stronger than expected, I still think the market will shrug them off.

HK Telecom, Microsoft to announce HK plan
HONG KONG, March 4 (Reuters) - Hong Kong Telecommunications
Ltd <0008.HK> said on Thursday it would hold a joint news
conference with Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft Corp <MSFT.O>,
on March 9 to announce a "strategic cooperation plan."
The plan "is set to enhance Hong Kong people's lifestyles and
to place the SAR at the forefront of the rapid world-wide trend
towards the convergence of multimedia technologies in the next
millennium," it said.
Hong Kong is known as a Special Administrative Region (SAR)
of China since it returned to Chinese rule in July 1997.
A Hong Kong Telecom spokeswoman declined to make further
comments on the plan.
