Ken, I agree with you, their pricing is not very competitive with Best Buy, Fryes, etc. Last week I bought 2 SIMMS of 16 MB EDO Ram from Best Buy for a total price of $69.98, less a $20 mail in rebate. The Rams were made by PNY.

Also agree that the site requires to many clicks to navigate.

I guess Dell will be a lot of feed back from the visitors to the site.

Ken; RE: <<...I'm a little saddened at the prices -...>>

I agree with your statement here and I am wondering how much say Dell has in the pricing of the components for sale on their site. Another factor for me in deciding where to purchase is the timeliness of the good's delivery. I am usually willing to pay a marginal premium if I can get the item(s) delivered in the least amount of time. Hopefully, Dell has well honed master plan for getting OPP( other people's products ) to the buyers door.

Regards;
JT

Hi Ken,

Where have you been? Havn't seen you on line for a while. We tried to get a DELL get together but no response. Maybe after we get back from our cruise.

Looks like DELL is trying real hard to close aboce $79.00.

Hope you are feeling ok!!!

Hey,

I'm long DELL and want to see those profit margins. I don't want to see them play the price game. I'd prefer to see them win the sales on service and customer support. Having spent many long years in sales, I like value sales rather than price sales. Value sales brings customer loyalty whereas price sales breeds a mercenary mentality in buyers.
