I'm not really sure what 'dead cat bounce' means either, although it sounds colourful enough. But I like cats, like big dogs better, so the picture in my mind is a little uncomfortable.

If your point is that its best not to throw jargon around unless it is well defined, I take your point!

I have noticed at times small rallies after a big sell off. Sometimes these give up quickly any gain. Perhaps that blip is what people talk about. Agree that its not a term with any precision attached to it...

Someone said to me once, that every position is correct, depending on the timeframe. Never forgot that..
