I once had someone working for me that stalked one of my other employees. Her cat was then murdered violently and laid out on her front porch. >>

Were you Kathleen Willey's boss?

Really now, we have laws against illegal drugs, yet there are plenty of drugs available for those who want them. Are you really so naive as to think that just because a gun prohibition law is enacted that criminals will suddenly see the light? Get real. BTW, you didn't answer my question. How many of the children that were killed by the sicko might have been saved if just one adult had immediate access to a handgun? Instead they had to watch helplessly while some maniac destroyed their lives. What do you have against self defense anyway?

Michelle, I guess I'll be response #5:

should I go buy a gun NOW and keep it loaded just in case Mr. nutcase decides to pop in?

The point is, if guns were illegal I would have a lot less to worry about.

As JLA pointed out (pardon the pun), how are you with knives? When the nutcase comes through your living room window wielding a knife, wouldn't you like to be able to say, "You made two mistakes: The first one was breaking my window. The second one was bringing a knife to a gunfight." BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Then you could cooly dial 911 and say, "I had an intruder. Take your time though, he's not going anywhere".

Then you could go in your kitchen and make yourself a latte while waiting for the police to arrive.

In cases like that, after an interview with police, it is determined that you acted in self-defense, and no charges are filed.
