StockOperator,

>>>> What bothers me here about the playing the short side of the market is right now that position is being telegraphed to us. With the tech wreck the past couple of weeks and the weakness in the bond market. The market is screaming short me here. That's just too easy.

It may appear easy to you and those who have a good understanding of the market, but keep in mind that the average investor is not seeing what you see and is far from selling at this time. I just checked with my broker friends and all of them stated that the average investor is holding and nibbling, and hardly any selling. These are brokers at MERRIL, SMITH BARNEY, DEAN WITTER, WHEAT, GRUNTAL.

So, what seems so easy to you and others on SI, is not that easy for the majority of investors.

Hey, we may not nail the exact entry point but we will be close, and alot closer than those who simply hold.ggggggg Then the question becomes will we be timely in getting back in, and with the experience on SI I say that many will.

Good luck.
