and why should they when they can simple sit back and let intel, amd and nsm fight it out. then when everyone is weak they can come back in and decimate whoever is left.

Why in the world would IBM want to purchase AMD ... AMD's process technology
is 1-2 years behind, the K6-2/3 is an "also-ran" processor at 400mhz/450mhz,
and the K7 is just "foils".
