This was released at 5:34, but it doesn't explain the price jump. Intergraph Execs/Intel -2: CEO, Pres To Be First Witnesses WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--Executives from Intergraph Corp. (INGR) will be among the first to testify in the Federal Trade Commission's antitrust trial againstIntel Corp. (INTC) next week. James M. Meadlock, chairman and chief executive of the computer graphics company, and Wade C. Patterson, president, will follow opening arguments by both sides. Gary Pat Campbell, vice president of Rep. Inc., a distributor of electronics components in Intergraph's home town of Huntsville, Ala., will follow. Intergraph is central to the government's case that Intel abused its monopoly power in the market for microprocessors in an attempt to squash competitors. The FTC has alleged that Intel tried to force Intergraph to give Intel a royalty-free license to microprocessor technology. Intel threatened to cut off key information about its Pentium processors if Intergraph didn't comply, the government says. Intergraph was at the time the leading manufacturer of Intel-based work stations. The company was saved from serious harm, the FTC said, only by a court order that required Intel to provide Intergraph with the information. That decision is under appeal. Intel has said it was within its rights to hold intellectual property from Intergraph, which was suing Intel for patent infringement. Moreover, Intel says the government can't show, as it must, that Intergraph was a competitor in the microprocessor market. The government has 20 possible witnesses on its list, and Intel, 35. The trial is expected to last between six and 10 weeks.
