RedCrystal, Today my hard drive crashed on my PowerMac at work and what saved me? Zip of course. All my critical files I have been working on for the last 2 years are on a couple of Zip disks that I carry back and forth between work and home. Otherwise I would be pulling out the few strands left on the top of my head. Not only are the disks more reliable, in my experience, than either hard drives or floppy drives, but also the Zip drive I bought 3 years ago remains a staple, while three Macs have bit the dust or gone on to lesser lives. The new PC I bought for home (450 PII) has an internal Zip and the PowerMac I use at work has a built in Zip. Thus I am a three Zip man. It is Zip that keeps my ongoing work alive through all this recent history and provides the interconnection for several labs and offices. I am sure there are plenty others with similar experiences and needs. My Zip drives will probably outlive all my current PC's and MAC's.

Regards, David S.
