Hey Luc: You just stated that ..<<I am still short.>>

You are a dreamer. That is NOT a way to make money in this market.
Go Long on DELL and you'll have a MUCH more profitable ride !!!!!

Don't bet against a company with as much talent and vision as DELL.

Regareds,

Scott

LT, you've got the wrong angle on puts. Try selling them, you'll do better. Here's my stable:

5 March 100 @ 14.50
6 March 105 @ 20.75
20 April 85 @ 14.88
15 July 105 @ 22.75
10 Oct 75 @ 18.37

Total premiums collected: $115,943
Some are profitable now, all will be if Dell gets up another $5.

I'm underwater on some. What to do? Roll them out and down, bring in more money and reduce my exposure at the same time. I can do this for years, always strengthening my account.

To anyone on this thread discouraged by LT's proclamations, I advise this very conservative and lucrative strategy. Carefully done it's almost a certain winner. If we had paid attention to LT's advice It would have set us back, say, half a million. They say in Kansas: If a man's telling you how to grow corn, first go look in his crib!

By the way, LT, how much have you made buying puts? I think your abusiveness will dissolve as your bank account thrives. I've been off the thread due to illness, have some unanswered posts for which I apologize, and will respond soon.

My son, Dan, is much better than I, took $400K to $1.2 Mil in 18 months, will own 10,000 Dell shares in 42 hours. A nice start! We owe a great debt of gratitude to the motivation and encouragement by so many on this thread who patiently and with perseverance drummed: Buy Dell, Hold Dell!

LT, you're a sad contrast to such excellent advisors. And I'm offended by the outhouse slurs you cast on all of us with your invective. You gain nothing, and doubtless you've cost others tremendous sums. Why should your name evoke opprobrium? It will pay you a fortune to change, LT.

Touchy this AM aren't we. Gosh, I'm sure regretting not selling when you warned me to get out at 78, now look, we're at 84 and headed north. But I too commend you for showing up today, most bears seem to be back hibernating again today (those who aren't scrambling to cover their shorts and naked puts Anyway, stick around for a while and maybe you'll learn enough to make some of your money back on the Dell train. Good luck!

Good morning Lucretius,

Just curious as to what a true bear (as opposed to one of those fair weather bears) makes of the IBM- DELL pact?
