Another reason to own semis (NSM)--->>> VLSI this week and more great news: LSI reduces amount of Symbios charge
MILPITAS, Calif., March 3 (Reuters) - Chip maker LSI Logic Corp on Wednesday said it had reduced a one-time charge taken in 1998 for its acquisition of Symbios Inc to $146 million from a previously stated $225 million.

In a statement, the company said the change would increase quarterly goodwill amortization by $2.5 million, or $0.01 per share. It did not say how the revision would affect earnings or which particular quarter will be revised, and a spokeswoman was not immediately available to comment.

The company also said it continues to see strengthening demand for its products.

LSI makes a specialized type of microprocessor known as a ''system on a chip,'' which boosts performance and lowers overall computing costs

Yawn...very entertaining, but, still a bit boring. You two sound like two Silverbacks thumping and strutten in hopes of getting attention.

If someone takes a stock pickers words as absolute fact then they shouldn't be in this game; they've been warned constantly. If someone was hurt by a stock they bought, its their fault for not bailing out soon enough. There's plenty of information and advise on the internet; for free. They should have studied it before their first trade.

If a person refuses to read between the lines, even yours, its their fault. Not someone else's fault.

Read Joe's Disclaimer and Mission statement. They are full of warnings.

I've lost trades, but, never because Joe lead me wrong. They were because I ignored my own trading rules I didn't do my DD.

If a person gets into this game without establishing their own dissipline and without doing their own DD and without the right tools, then, there is nothing anyone can say or do to dissuade them except a trade loss. Its call tuition.

How many times have we all told newbees to paper trade and watch each poster and learn his or her style? How many times have we all told newbees to read various books on trading?

Do you really think your accusations and agitation accomplish anything other that chest thumping?

Why don't you contribute and teach rather than preach. Explain your strategy. Show newbees what they can learn. Provide guidenance on how to do research. Explain how to interpret a balance sheet or a trend chart.

Have you also noticed how Joe mostly just ignors your chest thumpings, unlike other so called stock pickers on SI who get highly indignant and threaten to call the cops; LOL.

Sure Joe rules the roost on his Web site. It's his. Just as my web site to privide newbees a single source of learning information is mine and built by me.

If you really are concerned about others then start a Web site or start a thread here on SI and provide education and training.

If you don't like a stock picker's methods then do something constructive rather than anoying.

Be a leader; not a winer.

This is a candy store for you TM! Nice work, I got to hand it to you.

Don't you guys get it yet. TM is having too much fun in his cyber candy store to give a hoot if some people are carelessly fooled into buying into his selling.

Buyer beware as it goes, eh?

As much as you, TM , have given to your members and others, you've taken back much more. The funny thing is we know your game yet there seems to be an endless supply of newbies for you to scalp from.

I've learned alot from you. For that I thank you. But sheesh, any
class you displayed in the beginning is disappearing fast. It's really
a disgrace. Peace be with you. You rich son of a gun.
