Hi Suresh.

I went to DELL's gigabuys and killerapp sites and compared prices for three SONY monitors that I was interested in. See for yourself.

=================DELL=================Killerapp(buycomp.com)
CPD-520GS=======$1009.95=============$872.95
GDM-500PS=======$1089.95=============$998.95
GDM-F500========$1869.95=============$1614.95

DELL is about 10% higher and since I have to pay state tax, it is ~18% higher.

Why should I buy from DELL?

I was also thinking about how they are going to handle inventory. Managing inventory and keeping 7-day turns for their current biz focus which is selling PCs with a limited number of components is much different than offering 1000s of h/w & s/w products with high cost and unpredictable demand. When you buy a PC from them, they have some of the pieces like surge protector drop-shipped. They may try to do the same as much as they can and act as a middle man with a hot web site.

I don't know. Maybe I should go over the DELL thread and ask.

Clint

Hello Suresha, the NAZ chart doesn't bother me so much as the 30 year bond chart does and Friday morning will parse the sword of Damocles definitively - or at least for a few weeks. The 30 year chart may become a double top or a breakout point and if bonds go to 6% and stay in the 5.6 - 6% range we go into our seasonal correction, which is due to start anyway pretty soon - it's been 18 weeks since the last correction bottom.

Suresha, a head and shoulders or double bottom (W)? I wish I had the answer. Next couple of days are critical.

Whats your guess?
