Dear me. I suppose that now I begin to fathom the allure for certain people of antebellum mansions, cotillions, mint juleps under the gazebo, and that ilk. That wistful ache for a time long gone, for a world vanished in Ozymandian decrepitude. The globe spinning on the wrong axis, gone to heck in a handbasket, the center not holding. Boy, those were the days. Hey, did anybody take any pix way back when? Hey, here's some negatives over here...hmmm...can't identify those glumaxes, my memory fails me. Rings a bell though.
