Price is really popping today.... up to 13.5 or so with pretty good volume... is there any news thats driving this today or is it just the up market day?

Rumor is ATI is talking seriously to buy S3.

S3 has talked to others as well, but nobody was interested.
The new president wants out of graphics.

S3 now is the most aggressive company in setting the price. They do not care if they get a business at a loss, as long as they add customer base, and rev that is all they care (to improve their appeal to the new buyer). they are desperate.
