CWST.. One of the alternate earnings plays. It's one of two 'waste' stocks I have been watching actually this is the second quarter I'm tracking it. It was up consistently the last few days and today had a very nice gain before the close. Earnings came out after the close. I hope you are all following with interest how some stocks that don't show anticipation will easily be dropped from our list. CASELLA WASTE SYSTEMS, INC. REPORTS FISCAL YEAR 1999 THIRD QUARTER EARNINGS

Net Income Up 347 Percent; Revenue Up 19 Percent; Ebitda Up 48 Percent

RUTLAND, Vt., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Casella Waste Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CWST), a regional, non-hazardous solid waste services company, today reported financial results for the third quarter of its 1999 fiscal year. For the quarter ended January 31, 1999, the company reported net income of $2.6 million, versus $572,728 for the same period last year, a 347 percent increase.

Fully diluted earnings per share for the quarter were $0.16. Revenue for the quarter was $40.2 million versus $33.8 million for the same period last year, a 19 percent increase. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 48 percent to $11.4 million, compared to $7.7 million in the same period last year.

EBAY split 3 for 1 March 2,1999. Closed up 6 7/16 today at 123 1/2.
Broke out to new highs 4 days ago.
