I believe the term "in production" as it pertains to work in progress inventory refers only to manufacturing production, not creative development. And the work in progress could be the Nintendo manufacturing stage of production. In this case, the carrying cost in inventory should be less than the cost of a finished product. And I think a recall is completely out of the question. I don't think that THQ needs much WCW in Q2 at all. In fact, I'm only expecting 5-10% of sales to be from WCW. I think THQ realizes this, and that's why they're announcing games for June. If Q2 does really well, I suspect Ultimate 8 Ball and Knights of Carnage will be pushed to Q3.
