RDM,

Re: K7

I suspect that K7 will announce in early to mid Q2 "on schedule".

I doubt if they will ship very many production parts till Q4.

I think that real volume wafer starts will wait for 0.18 micron.

Earliest 0.18 is wafer starts Q3 so production for Q4 in terms of volume shipment to OEMS.

By Q3 they will also be ramping the K-3 into 0.18 as fast as they can to reduce costs and ramp bin splits.

The K6-2 450's seem to be widely available but no real volumes on k-3's yet. So it looks like less than one full month of production for K-3's in Q1.

I suspect that we might break even this quarter depending upon bin splits and yields on the K6-2 400/450's.

I had read somewhere that Flash was doing well.

I hope we get some benchmark data on the K-7 soon.

Regards,

Kash
