Well, since it's such a slow discussion day, I thought I'd provide some info I just read in the 3/1 Information Week. They reprinted the "CheckFree Lands MCI for Online Billing: Contract comes as rival consortium works out kinks" article. Along with it is a graph of "E-Payment Pluses." According to the footnote, these are the results from a survey of 400 Households (Netroscope Inc did the survey). Also, Multiple responses were allowed. "What are the advantages of paying bills online?" No more stamps and envelopes: 100% Convenience: 81% Ease of access: 67% Billing Information management and retrieval: 60% Reduction of late and delinquency rates: 57% Money and time savings: 23% Now, what does this show? I don't know if the survey was random or not. If it was this is a great indicator of how Joe Public will accept on-line billing. Even if 1/3 of the bill payers partake, it'll be huge. It's just a matter of getting word out that you can do it NOW !!. Of course, if this was from 400 households that have registered at an on-line financial site (bank, broker, etc.), the numbers don't mean much at all. Jody
