david..we actually agree..i'm familiar with don's philosophy..we share a good bit of the same thoughts...i only sell puts against cash or capacity in issues that i own..cpq,dell,emc,intc,msft...or issues that i want to own...sap has been a great recent range trade...equity put sales are less risky than buying calls or puts...i disagree with many on the insurance value of buying a put..if i was that nervous i would sell my common...it is difficult to lose on a put sale...the availability of leaps allows one to weather the gloomiest times..good luck..ed a,

p.s. still disagree with your take on dell as a range trade...it will again be the "darling"...when the herd mentality shifts...i see their touting drillers today..will they ever learn?
