Does anyone know whether K62/450 based systems are available from gateway. I know it is listed on their website, but is it available to be shipped?

How about K6-III based computers (both 400&450) at cybermax?

Hopefully gateway (among other tier one OEM's) are selling a whole lot of K6 based computers to explain the apparent shortage of K62/400 CPU's in the discount retail channels. The number of vendors at Price Watch offering K62/400 has not been this low in quite a while.

<< afraid that K6-III is sucking up manufacturing capacity >>

That's possible, but an equally plausible explanation is that demand for all K6 is snow-balling.

re:Just checked the CPU pricing there K6-2 400's now UP to over $150.
Celery 400's DOWN to $135
What the hell's going on here

Not a good sign. In the past, this has always precluded trouble with yields, manufacturing, etc.
