Ring up another $42.5 million (minimum) for AOL:

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (Dow Jones)--Verio Inc. (VRIO) agreed to be the exclusive business Web host provider throughout America Online Inc.'s (AOL) CompuServe, AOL.COM and Digital City and America Onine services.

Under the marketing agreement, AOL will receive guaranteed payments totaling a minimum of $42.5 million from Verio, and will also participate in future revenue sharing.

In a press release Thursday, Verio said it will receive online advertising and promotion of a co-branded Verio and AOL Web site that will offer Verio Web-hosting and Internet commerce products and services. Verio said it will transition almost 7,000 AOL PrimeHost and CompuServe BusinessWeb hosting customers to Verio for Web-hosting serivce, Verio Inc. provides Web-hosting and other Internet services to small and mid-sized businesses.
