Prog sells mainly specialized nitche software for use by programmers. I wouldn't think DELL or CPQ would focus on this area. I would expect that these companies would have more impact on companies like EGGS that sell consumer software.

PROG as a buyout?

A potential upside to the DELL's of the world getting more active in online reselling is that PROG would be a choice buyout candidate.

They have a strong website that is proving significant growth, coupled with a solid business model of reselling in the computer products space. I could see some company making a run at PROG; not having to pay some crazy valuation etc., for a solid business.
