Def, I voiced this concern earlier. Is it possible that Japanese are trying to talk the $$ up while they are cashing on US treasuries. It will serve two purposes: 1) the pressure on US treasuries will be compensated by stronger $$ 2) they can "reinflate" Japanese economy with an artificially weakened yen along with the weakness caused by running printing presses over-time.
Is this a naive assumption?
