Dell shorts can pray IBM decides to buy Apple instead. Some prefer Jobs to Michael Dell. Apple could be bought for a lot less than Dell. IBM would have os2 and the MAC operating system. It would have colorful IMACS

This announcement kinda dwarfs all that little stuff 5er was talking about.... Poor old 5er, his little gloating was very short lived.

Gabriel..you're telling me..but, as you know, you can't announce it until its sealed....too many embarrasing cases in the past of pre-announcing (and then failure)....this is just what we needed...(Short-term)..I'm sure MD would have loved to trot it out a couple weeks ago....

Gabriel,

If they had released earlier, YOU wouldn't have had this great buying opportunity. The only folks who were hurt, were those who don't believe in NEVER EVER SELL DELL.

Dorine

John, there was a rumour before DELL released earnings that they were in discussions with IBM. It would have been ideal, in retrospect, to have made that announcement on earnings day. However, as is often said, better late than never.
regards, Gabriel
