A recent job ad from Ameritech's New Media. I found the introductory sentence italics interesting. VIDEO OPERATIONS TECHNICAL SUPPORT Naperville, IL (suburb of Chicago) Ameritech's cable TV company, Ameritech New Media, is changing your TV from something you watch to something you use. You will provide regional maintenance/engineering support and project management for the design, installation and operation of the New Media Network. You will be the technical subject matter expert for the New Media cable TV network, interoffice transport facilities as well as access connections to video information providers. We require a BSEE or equivalent experience with 3-5 years experience in a cable TV video environment. Strong communication skills and proven decision making skills are also required.
