Actually, there is some debate on whether or not that is true, or his writings were abused. Walter Kauffman, his major translator, points out that Nietzche despised Prussian militarism, and disapproved of his sister and her husband, who were involved in proto- Nazi activities. On the other hand, there are passages in "The Will to Power", which was never published, which are quite alarming, and do seem to make the charge stick.
In any case, one does not have to buy him lock, stock, and barrel ( I certainly don't), and I was not citing him as an authority, but giving proper attribution to an interesting point.
