A response by the company said that German law precludes them from paying more stock than they are currently paying. This may mean for forseeable future or maybe forever, the best and brightest may leave for greener pastures. Maybe a comparison to IBM in the 60's. Just about everyone that was in computers at one time or another was either trained or worked for big blue, but left when they wanted to make some real money. Of more interesting note is the focus on 6 divisions. Makes sense to me. Part good - part questionable. By focusing on industries or segments they should be more responsive to customers application needs.

I have felt in the past the only way to continue to grow at this fast rate was to provide software for their own platforms. I still believe the best, cheapest and fastest way to do this is to buy existing companies. I have been told however, that this is "not the German way". Unfortunitly in my view this new structure may portend much more internal development.
