Sorry. I ddn't mean to hit anyone anywhere. As it is, we Xoma shareholders are black and blue enough.

My concern about the wording of this FAQ is the subtle (and perhaps accidental) way it may convey the thinking of the writer. I read it as more or less dismissing any possibility of an interest by a large pharma -- on any terms. Such would not be consistent with the bravado that comes from confidence Neuprex/BPI will become a highly successful compound. Rather, it manifests a discouraged, whistle-past-the-graveyard attitude that one must assume comes from repeated rebuffs by potential partners over the long period we know, from past FAQs, Xoma said it was looking.

Maybe the FAQ merely reflects an unfortunate choice of words born of a stunted education in the Bermuda educational system.
