Dell IBM deal: sounds like Dell will use IBM chip for sub-1,000 PC? This is just another spin. Dell will buy 16 billion worth of product, that is all, as far as I understand. Dell is an assembler and has never done any R&D, so what technology it can offer to IBM? Why they label the deal as "Tech pact"?

Stefan, What really makes no sense is that both Dell and IBM go up on the deal. Didn't somebody take a haircut on this bargain?
