I PERSONALLY know the president of Caesar's gambling unit. My father is very close to him. I can assure you that the Mob is in no way involved in gambling...at least not in the areas it is legal. Honest businessmen have better methods of dealing with issues than mobsters. That is why legal is better.

B:) Ditto;
C:) Did you see "Casino"? It was based on a true story, and set in the eighties. Also, the mob has been involved in Atlantic City, although it is true that the last report I saw on it was a few years ago;
D: The forces that "got it out of gambling" were the police forces;
E: You assume that property rights are absolute; I do not. Unless you can show me why I should regard them as absolute, I will not acknowledge them as a trump card in the argument.
