JDN, re IBM sales, I hear you wrt the past. They have taken a new stance (actually started, trying to remember, about seven years ago), whereby everything is for sale, to everybody. That is, they will sell semiconductors to a company that builds systems that may compete with their own systems, same with drives, etc. An example is that they sell their system 390 (nee mainframe) CMOS CPU chipset to Hitachi, who uses it in the heart of their own CMOS S390 offering. Why dey do dat? It's all to keep their revenues growing, IBM's toughest challenge.
