My friend, you have a shallow understanding of Dell and the technology industry...

If you don't see, realize the number of current cross-arrangements among technology companies...who compete in some markets/ are partners in others........you do not understand how this game works...

Intel/Microsoft partner, Sun/Intel partner...guess what, Sun and Microsoft hate each other...and, I believe that they even partner on some stuff...even so..Intel partners (and probably hates/competes) with both...

IBM/EMC compete big time.....EMC buys lots of technology from IBM....

There are many more examples....

You, obviously, do not understand IBM well either....they do not (for the most part) give "preferance" to the own PC unit in in-house technology buys....treating it (as they rightly should) as a separate company...

Others on this thread (or PM Rudedog) can answer this question more effectively than me...but it looks like I have finally found someone who knows less about technology than me...
