Ian, Additional chips required for HDTV would include MPEG decoders and substantial amounts of RAM. Companies such as C-Cube (CUBE) and the DRAM makers would likely see increased demand if and when these TVs start selling in volume.

What type of a time line do we have when HDTV will come in demand. Anyone know. Where are we at with HTDV flat liquid crystal technology?
Are additional and more powerful chips required.? And, how will this impact INTC, MOT, TXN, AMD and AMAT?
