no - no technical cracks <BBY>

MACD, StochRSI - fairly noncommital - neither overbought or oversold

stacked MAs show modest uptrend

no good signs technically to short ...

BBY - no, I don't see any technical cracks; it could spike before it starts dropping. I entered a small position just to say "I was here." They had a great quarter last year because of increased profit margins and increased sales, but results for the current quarter are likely to be disappointing. CPU is in the gutter, DELL is way off its high, and GTW just dropped a bit. BBY has tripled over the past year and nearly doubled since new year; if valuations start to matter again it will drift down.

What I'd really like to short is UBID and EBAY - any thoughts?

I think I won't touch BBY and others from the short side.

When one has really bad fundamentals like shrinking margins, negative same-store sales and a deteriorating outlook, ok then.

But not to mention BBY, look COST or even WMT, who in the world would short it? Costco cranked up almost 100% since October with litte volatility. I mean if you knew something not anticipated by the market (and thats many people) then ok.
A short of spiders or techies would be better as "relative" crap is contained therein too..
